As 2020 draws to a close, it’s past time to do all the things you’ve been putting off. And, if you don’t act now, you’ll miss out on the tax breaks you could get by installing a new, energy-efficient home HVAC system. The Energy Star Non-Business Energy Property Tax Credits have been retroactively extended from 12/31/2017 through 12/31/2020. These credits apply to existing homes or primary residences; rentals and new-construction homes do not qualify.
